Ziona was shot in the head and killed in between the Montgomery Village Plaza and Montgomery Village crossing shopping centers in Gaithersburg.

Police say Ziona was on her way to lay flowers on her grandmother's grave when she was shot. Thursday was the anniversary of her grandmother passing away a few years ago.

The shooting occurred in an alley the separates the Montgomery Village Plaza and Montgomery Village Crossing shopping centers in the 9600 block of Lost Knife Road in Gaithersburg. Police say the shooting was reported at around 5:49 p.m.

Leblond was arrested at the Germantown Transit Center and police say he was taken into custody without incident. He is being held without bond.
