GAITHERSBURG, Md. (WUSA9) -- A man was killed and their body was dumped in a Montgomery County park, where a group of hunters discovered it Saturday, Montgomery County police said.  

According to police, the medical examiner has ruled the cause of death for a male body found in Great Seneca Stream Valley Park a homicide due to trauma to the upper torso of the victim.

At around 10:40 a.m. Saturday, a group participating in a managed hunt in the park found human remains in a shallow grave in the park, police said. The remains were transported to the medical examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy. 

Investigators are working to identify the victim and the length of time he was deceased.
