Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) will host three “Meet the Author” programs in October featuring local authors.
On Wednesday, October 13 at 7 p.m., Olga Grushin, author of “The Line” and “The Dream Life of Sukhanov,” will be at the Silver Spring Library, 8901 Colesville Rd.
Grushin’s first novel, “The Dream Life of Sukhanov,” won the 2007 New York Public Library Young Lions Fiction Award and was chosen as a New York Times Notable Book of the Year and a Washington Post Top Ten Best Book of the Year. Her second novel, “The Line,” published in April 2010, was chosen as an Editors' Choice book by The New York Times. She is now at work on her third book.
On Saturday, October 16 at 2 p.m., novelist and short story writer Dolen Perkins-Valdez will be at Marilyn J. Praisner Library, 14910 Old Columbia Pike, Burtonsville for a reading and book signing of her debut novel, “Wench.”
