Arrests Made in Robbery of Germantown Pizza Delivery Man

            At approximately 9:20 p.m. on October 3rd, 5th District officers responded to the 19000 block of Partridge Wood Drive in Germantown for a robbery of a pizza delivery man that had just occurred.  Preliminary investigation revealed that five suspects approached the driver as he walked to a dwelling carrying a pizza order. The suspects surrounded the delivery man and demanded his money and the pizza order. The suspects fled the area after the robbery.  

           Officers used a police K-9 to follow a track to a residence in the 19000 block of Partridge Wood Drive. When officers knocked on the door, a subject opened the door, and officers observed pizza boxes and the victim’s property in the home. Based on their observations, officers conducted an investigation and arrested the following suspects:

Armed Robbery of Safeway Store


Detectives from the Montgomery County Police-Major Crimes Division, Robbery Section are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a Safeway grocery store.  Today, detectives are releasing photographs of the suspects.

On July 15 at approximately 10:22 p.m., officers from the 3rd District responded to the Safeway, 116 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.  The preliminary investigation revealed that two suspects entered the store office and encountered an employee.  One suspect pulled out a handgun and the other suspect punched the employee in the face.  The suspects then removed an undetermined amount of currency from the cash drawers in the office.  The suspects then fled in an unknown direction.

Reward Offered in North Bethesda Middle School Vandalism

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police 2nd District continue to investigate a vandalism that occurred at North Bethesda Middle School over the weekend. Crime Solvers is now offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest and/or indictment in this case.

Vandalism Discovered to School in Bethesda

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police 2nd District are investigating vandalism that was discovered July 16th to an area middle school and to vehicles parked in the neighborhood near the school.

 Early this morning, school security officers responded to North Bethesda Middle School located at 8935 Bradmoor Drive in Bethesda, for an active alarm.  They discovered vandalism to the school and contacted police.  At approximately 2:40 this morning, 2nd District officers responded to begin an investigation.  They found an ethnically-offensive word, a sexually-descriptive drawing, and several initials painted on the outside of the building.  They also found several windows had been broken.  As the investigation continued, they discovered that seven vehicles on Beech Avenue had paint on them, and one vehicle had the same ethnically-offensive word painted on it.

Police Seek Help to Locate Missing Bethesda Teenager

The following information comes to us from Montgomery County's Police Family Crimes Division:

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Family Crimes Division are asking the public for help to locate a teenager missing from Bethesda.

Michael Jeffrey Gura, age 17, of the 4900 block of Sentinel Drive in Bethesda was last seen on July 3. Michael is described as a white male, 6’ tall, weighing 140 pounds, with brown eyes and short, curly brown hair.  The teenager was last seen driving a Gold 1999 Chrysler Sebring 4-door with Maryland tags of GGY-275.

Police and his family are concerned for his welfare because it is uncharacteristic for the teenager not to have contact with his family. 

Anyone with information about Michael Gura’s whereabouts is asked to call the Montgomery County police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (24hrs).  Callers may remain anonymous.

Rockville Police Search for Suspects in Robbery

The Rockville City Police Department is seeking help in locating two suspects who tased a 28-year-old woman and stole her purse as she tried to unlock the door to her home.

Rockville City Police were called just before 12:30 a.m. today for a report that a woman had been assaulted by two men and had her purse stolen as she was attempting to unlock the front door to the building where she lives in the unit block of Monroe Street. Her purse was taken and she received minor burns to her neck, chest and arm. She was treated at the scene by Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services.
