Your company’s name is Kadoo. How did you come up with it? Is there a meaning or a story behind it?

New Credit Rules One Year Later: What Effect has it had?

One year after new credit card regulations were enacted to stop some questionable billing practices and where are we?

  • Over the limit penalty charges have been dramatically decreased. Previously, card holders could be hit with over the limit charges that effectively kept them over the limit. Now that has been curtailed enough where the monthly payment can be applied to the actual balance owed.

  • Before the new rules, card issuers would routinely approve transactions that would cause cardholders to exceed their limits resulting in the dreaded over the limit fees. Now customers cannot be penalized for going over their limits unless they say they want such transactions to go through.

Santa Comes Again to Children's Inn at NIH--Thanks to the MoCo Police and Sheehy Ford

Christmas is coming again in January for the Children’s Inn at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).  Santa Claus joins Montgomery County Police Chief Tom Manger, Assistant Chief Drew Tracy, Sheehy Ford General Manager Shawn Lynes, Children’s Inn Director of Volunteers and Community Outreach Laura King, and members of the police department’s motor squads at a special check presentation ceremony.  Sheehy Ford donated a $10,000 check to the Children’s Inn to match the $10,000 raised by this year’s Montgomery County Police Department Santa Ride.  In 2010 over 1500 families stayed 14,541 nights at the Inn at no charge while their children were receiving medical treatment at NIH.  Since the Children’s Inn opened in 1990, over 10,000 children have stayed at the Children’s Inn.
